Introduction session: September 19th 2022 6.30pm-7.30pm

This mediation training covers both process and practice, and you will finish the course with tools to mediate community conflicts in a way that nurtures holistic resolution and reparation.
Over the 5 days we will cover: Understanding conflict; you and conflict; the mediation process; holding the space for challenging discussions; practice in core skills – and much more.
Based on the Conflict and Change historically established “in person” community mediation training, we are delighted to have commissioned the creation of an online training version.
Inspired by the difficulties and experience’s the pandemic brought to the fore in relation to physical contact and participation in training venues and homes, the light really shone on the need for alternative mediation delivery and engagement possibilities for people in the community, for a host of reasons.
Together with another community resolution organisation, Conflict and Change have created and developed a full online mediation training for our volunteers, or for people interested in mediation as an area of interest and possible future career opportunities.
Between us, Conflict & Change (Newham, London) and Community Resolve (Bristol) have over 60 years of using mediation practices. We have worked in communities in numerous ways, including, teaching peer mediation in schools, family conflict intervention projects, workplace mediations, inter faith conflicts, disability rights mediation, special education needs mediation, and have lots of teaching experience to share.
